INDIA vs ENGLAND
I dont want to get too ahead of myself but this series starts very soon.
http://content-uk.cricinfo.com/indveng/c...76931.html Tendulkar should be in the squad so beware. However, we will rest one of our two pacemen(ishant and zaheer.) or both for the tests as we treat the tests as more important even though its only 2 games. I think you will beat us in the ODI's 4-3 as we have a very young side and we will rest a few players and we will win the tests 1-0. EDIT: TENDULKAR RESTED FOR ODI AND THE TEAM IS India Squad: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (capt & wk), Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Rohit Sharma, Yusuf Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel, Ishant Sharma, Pragyan Ojha, RP Singh, Virat Kohli, M Vijay PS:SORRY THIS IS NOT IN ODI SECTION BUT I THOUGHT THIS THREAD COULD COVER BOTH SERIES "I've played fair and hard and loved every minute of it. That would be the best way to be remembered. And also as a team man. While you're achieving team goals, your own milestones will pass by." Sachin Tendulkar. |

RE: INDIA vs ENGLAND
After our impressive warm up in Antigua it's hard to see anything stopping us from winning esp with Steve ("oops my over went for 22") Harmison leading our attack away from home - where he really likes it.
I'm very confident.

RE: INDIA vs ENGLAND
I wouldn't take too much notice of the Stanford pub game, we battered South Africa in the 50 over game, and but for Wales being wet would have won 5-0 to be ranked second in world.
With seven one dayers against India I think a tight series will follow. And it will be 4-3. |

RE: INDIA vs ENGLAND
After the series against the aussies winning 2-0. I think we will beat england in the tests whether it be 1-0 or 2-0. The ODI's pose a different question because Dhoni is slightly injured and therefore might miss the first ODI. Other than this we dont have many probs but our team is very young. The average age of our ODI squad is 24.5. And the younger players have not got lots of ODI's under the belt. Englands squads average age is 26.6 which is over 2 years different to India. So i believe with Indias team in transition we will lose the ODI series 4-3 or 5-2. But I hope we can take some momentum from this series and win the ODI's and the tests.

RE: INDIA vs ENGLAND
Quote from Ashley Giles followed by Cricinfo's tongue-in-cheek comment:
"We need to get 20 wickets and we need to have the runs on the board." Ashley Giles shows that his years of experience aren't wasted as he pinpoints what England need to do to beat India |

Prefer that to "we have to control the controllables".
