As a fellow fast bowler who also bowled with Alan Donald, I just wondered what you think of Dale Steyn and whether he compares favourably with Donald. 195 test wickets in 38 tests with a strike rate of 39 is quite brilliant and many of those wickets have been against top opposition.

Hi Paul, sorry for the delay in my reply.

All i would say is look @ the batters who were playing international cricket when Donald started and continued his career and then look @ who the guy u mention comes up against. Obviously Steyn has an outstanding record, but, its worth checking every thing out before people start calling performers2 the best ever" etc - he`d be a handful anytime, tho. p

Thanks for the reply Paul. DD might correct me here but I think he has done well against Ponting and Tendulakar, who would you agree are two batsmen who are worthy to be classed as greats in any era.
