CL T20
http://www.espnstar.com/cricket/cl-t20/n...nnounced-/

I think this tournament will be showed on ESPN in the UK as Sky have not mentioned anything about it as yet.

Should be a good series, with some great players taking part. The fact that nearly all players have picked there "home" team instead of an IPL team is also good and means the comp should be competitive.

As for English teams. Somerset dont look likely of winning or passing the first stage. Sussex look good and also have "Pushy" with them in their 20 man squad which will be cut to 15 soon. I reckon they have a good chance tbf. Especially if Chawla makes it into their final 15 as he is a good spin bowler and knows Indian conditions.

Preliminary squads are found here: http://cricket.rediff.com/report/2009/au...squads.htm

From that I can see Delhi being very good. Hyderabad changeling them also. Bangalore not doing much. Wayamba being one of the surprises along with T & T with quite a few stars of their respective nations 20/20 in there. Can also see NSW and Cape Cobras doing good with an array of stars.

Personally, I'm more interested in this tournament than the IPL, think it should be really interesting to see how the different countries t20 teams mach up! I think im backing Sussex.

I wouldn't count Somerset out so lightly DD, the Tresco factor!

RE: CL T20
I have to say I have no interest whatsoever in these competitions made up of artificial teams. I just hope such a format never arrives in this country.

I am looking forward to this tournament and am being tempted by the lads to go out there but am resisting! Will Trescothick be prepared to travel - if not SOmerset could be struggling. Delighted we will have Dwayne and Chawla and reckon we will have a competitive team.

How do the signora and Andrew feel about being potentially abandoned again after Barbados?

RE: CL T20
LE most of the teams in the CL arn't "artificial", anyway all teams start off artificial. Getting 100+ years of history takes ...er... 100+ years.

RE: CL T20
The one pick that interests me is Darren Pattinson for Victoria, as he is English. They have in the past been quite xenophobic about their domestic competitions.

Punter, Flintoff could commentate during CL
